Recently-ish, I posted a blog called "Preparing my sources" or something like that. Yes, I could look it up, in an effort to be exacting, but that runs contrary to my artistic nature. At least that is what I am telling myself... and you.
I had shown some of the materials I was planning to incorporate into my next painting in my last blog post, and am including them here to refresh your memories.
Rhapsody, while painted second, is in my mind the first in the series, because she is the youngest version dreaming of her future. Reverie is still young and coming into her own, enjoying her glamorous life.
Reminisce is a vibrant, ripe, confident woman looking back on her very fulfilled life. I was planning to make her a younger woman, but then I got to thinking that younger women don't really have much to reminisce about. I, still, wanted her to be beautiful, though, and so she is as many older women are.
